Kima Baffour - Costume Designer
Kima Baffour is an experienced Costume Designer Fully committed to storytelling from an authentic and fresh perspective.
Her work ranges from fantasy to contemporary styling. She began her career in London on a site specific guerrilla Opera based on Gian Carlo Menotti's - The Consul. Once back in the States, Kima worked as Costume Associate at the historic ,Theater for the New City, in New York City’s Lower East Side.
As Kima's career advanced she began to hone her craft, real world problem solving, and design abilities. She began work as a wardrobe technician at Classic Stage Company, Soho Theater, Vineyard Theatre and many other off-Broadway companies. There she worked under some of New York City's most influential designers.
Kima now works on nationally and internationally recognized features, music videos ,short films, and plays. Most recently Hold On (official selection of Sundance), Phantasmagoria (La Mama), and the newest season of AfroPop (Pbs).
She splits her time between NYC and Los Angeles.
