Jonathan Ulmer - Composer and Sound Designer
Jonathan Ulmer is a composer and sound designer. Some of his specialties are music composition that gravitates towards orchestral hybrid and modern contemporary underscore.
Some of his favorite genres to work on are action adventure, romance, comedy and thriller. The opportunity to be able to be creative and work on films where he can bring a unique perspective or fill in a gap that may be there excites him.
His approach to working with clients is to listen, go over the brief thoroughly and try to get to know what they want and figure out what they need.
His creative workflow involves grabbing a piano and from there depending on what the project needs, grab some strings, a guitar, and a wind instrument to try to get a sense of the project, the texture or the overall feel.
